Welcome to our wedsite
What a day! And now it's over - the remaining cheese is in the in-laws' fridge, the dress is curled up tired in a suitcase and our Facebook, Twitter and Google+ feeds are full of pictures and congratulations. We're taking a little break from playing with the site over the next week or so as we head off on our honeymoon. Check back later though for photos - and in the meantime enjoy this little list of stats from the big day:
- Despite the best efforts of our friends, we had at least a kilo of every cheese left over other than the goats cheese, including an entire wheel of cheddar
- On the other hand, we had only two bottles of red left over after the wedding breakfast - with the other wine stocks (60 bottles of prosecco, 40 red, 42 white and 12 bottles of port) all demolished within an hour and a half
- Continuing the theme of alcohol, the groom's party had amassed an impressive £160 of whisky in the best man's room by the night before the wedding
- The circa twenty buttons on the back of Emily's dress took an average of thirty seconds each to do up or undo
- We were joined by a total of 113 delightful guests (and zero non-delightful ones)
- The accolade of farthest travelled to attend the wedding went to Tom and Chloe, who came 5,967 miles from Tokyo
- There were three typos in the place setting booklet (two misplaced letters and an overenthusiastic umlaut)
- At our best guess, the officiating minister said the word 'erotic' no fewer than eight times during the ceremony
We've left the rest of the site as it was for now, for those who want to relive the experience.
